Dear Friends Who Have Jobs and Friends Who Don’t Need Them,

            We offer you the opportunity to fight crime, support recovery, give hope, and create dignity.  You will not receive a tax-write off for your donation.   This is not a charity or a church.  We hope to profit personally and help change the lives of many.   We hope to foster independence.   We hope to stay sheltered this winter and provide this option for others.

            The Next Right Thing, Inc. is a for profit corporation that offers solutions to individuals facing despair from economic changes caused by aging, death, incarceration, and disability.    We are an employment agency for drunks, homeless, felons, and other recipients of many social services.   We are also parents, children, brothers and sisters who work hard and will stay off your welfare rolls and out of your jails if we can find an opportunity to work.

            Help us start this company.    Our employees will work four, four hour shifts a week.   With this, they will be able to live in one of Nashville’s many half-way houses and contribute to their share of the food.  Some will pay their child support with this supplemental income.   Some will find it no longer necessary to beg.  Some will combat the depression produced by uselessness as they learn to work with others and to provide a service. 

Many, we hope, will heal and move on to conventional employment after six months, or start their own companies with our design and with our blessing.   They will have time and confidence to seek employment from other sources.   They will have time to invest in recovery and service work.  They will have access to telephones, fax machines, and computers on site.   They can develop references as they work with us and with our clients.

Our first project helps an elderly man liquidate and transition his property with dignity.   Jobs available include retail sales, shop decoration, cleaning, locating sources for donations, furniture restoration, internet sales and promotion, maintenance, repairs, sign making, arts and crafts, jewelry and design, woodworking, sorting, hauling, scrubbing, research, accounting, clerical, data base management, reception.  Our goal is to become workers among workers, and to facilitate and strengthen a stake in conformity; a reason to wake up and face a new day.

 The Next Right Thing, Inc. will rent your property, restore it to maximum use, recycle and redistribute unused materials, and return the property in better shape than we got it.   We will purchase liability and workman’s comp on every project and every employee.   We will customize our delivery to your desires, and we will preserve the integrity of every project.
